Jack’s Body Shop Inc. dates back to May 1, 1966 when it was opened by Jack Fiechtner.
A couple years into running the business they decided to fix up or rebuild vehicles to try and sell, which seemed to fit in well with the body shop, selling on average 1 vehicle a month. At the time if you were selling more than 6 cars a year in the state of Montana, the state required you to have a used car dealer license. In 1970 Jack’s Body Shop became a used car dealer.
Jumping forward 47 YEARS they are NOW selling an average of 20 vehicles a month, none of which are rebuilds!
In 1971, Jack bought his 1st wrecker from (at the time) TP Motors in Forsyth, which in now Heberle Ford. He started his towing journey that year. Now the business has three wreckers running up and down the road in all directions in Easter Montana up to North & South Dakota!
David Fiechtner (Jack's Son) always had an interest in the used car business. He knew there would be potential for Miles City to have a loyal used car lot. For those of you who don’t know David and the way he does business he is one of the most honest people around. For those who do know him, there is something to be said about his honesty. People can shop at Jack’s Auto Sales without feeling the pressure of having to buy. If there is a concern with anything from the vehicle to the financing, they are always ready to help!
They currently work with 3 bank lenders, which cover almost all customer financing needs, and have some great working relationships with local banks.
The goal at Jack's Auto Sales is to make purchasing a used vehicle something to look forward to. This business strives to make the process as easy and simple as possible for customers. They want to make sure the customer is not only happy with the chosen vehicle, but they also want to make sure it will last for you and your loved ones.
